Malaysian citizens between 15 to 40 years old

Non-Student(RM120/2 days+RM100 cash pledge, total RM220)
Student(RM100/2 days+RM100 cash pledge, total RM220)

*photocopy of student ID should be attached with application form

Equipment Provided for a Booth:
Basic lighting irradiate on lot from the mall, a table, 2 chairs, no electricity plug is provided

Activitiy’s Duration:
Application deadline: 15th June 2010
Date of announcing contestant chosen: 19th June
(will post a entrance notification letter and the bank account number to contestant)

How to Submit:
Download the form from www.cplusc4u.com , complete and write down the lot’s name under the ‘Subject’ column (same as what written in the form), attached document below and send it back to the organizer’s email address, creativebazaar@cplusc4u.com :

i) Photocopy or Softcopy of Malaysian citizen I/C

ii) Photocopy or Softcopy of Student ID (if applicable)

iii)Take 3 photos from at least 3 angles, from part of work piece that is going to sell on that day (in jpeg format, less than 200kb); or, record a video (DVD/Mpeg format, in less than 2 minutes), upload the process of completing the work piece to www.youtube.com. You can also provide your portfolio’s website, blog, or facebook account, with condition that the piece display on the given address is originally from your design.

CANCELLATION OF GLEE FLEA BAZAAR

Greetings to all BB reaaders/ and those who first planned to join GLEE FLEA,

First of all I need to apologize because this Saturday's Glee Flea bazaar need to be cancel/postpone due to the venue provider's ~~irresponsible~~ management.

They've just told me YESTERDAY NIGHT saying they can't provide us the space anymore despite we told them everything at our side has been confirmed etc.

We did all the promotions on various websites, distribute flyers and even printed our huge promotion banner that promise to hang up outside the club today. Most importantly, all vendor spots already full and vendors already paid for the rental.

But they reply saying, unless we pay them extra rental (a very seriously, ridiculous amount of $), which is totally different from our previous agreements with the club, and it is impossible for us to pay them that much of amount.

We've never met this kind of situation before in our past bazaars! We're very upset and angry with the management, but we're even worried about all the vendors and readers who planned to join this weekend bazaar, cos we're sure you guys will be very disappointed with us.

However, we will search for a better location to proceed GLEE FLEA! Bazaar, so meanwhile, please notify and spread the word to your blog readers/friends, that our event this Saturday has been canceled.

Again, I'm deeply sorry and regrets for what happened, and we promise to improve and never let this kind of situation happen anymore.

Thanks for the support on previous Lelongs and now we're back with Lelong Lelong Marketplace #4 which will be at the same location - SS15 Asia Cafe on 6th and 7th February 2010!

We've reduced from 32 booths to 26 booths so that it will be better and more spacious among the booths, and so the shoppers can shop more more comfortable!

We're back with Lelong Lelong Marketplace #3 which will be at the same location - SS15 Asia Cafe on 16th and 17th January 2010!

Inviting all blogshops/traders to join our first outdoor bazaar/marketplace!

Why you should join this marketplace?
- The location where surrounded by colleges, shop houses, housing area and SS15 is also one of the busiest area in Klang Valley, will definitely create a crowd especially young shoppers/students!
- Even though we are at outdoor, but still, there are tent/covered area so that it won't be that hot!
- Banks like CIMB, Maybank, Public Bank; McDonald; Starbucks are all in walking distance!
- Parking bays are available around that area.
- Our booths are very nearby to the cafe's toilet, this will be very easy for your customers to try the garment.
- There will be only 36 booths that day, first come first served basis!
- We will be promoting & hang the banner of this event 1-2weeks in advance so that people around that area know about it!

Floorplan as below:

Our fee is only RM120 for BOTH DAYS providing one table (2ft x 4ft) and two chairs for each booth!
Note: You're require to rent both days, but however, if you want to rent one day, we don't mind you share with other vendors on each day if you can find anyone to share with you.

To all RETURNING VENDORS OF LELONG #2, as usual, the fee for two days is RM110.

Booths are available for those who can pay first before their reservation ends.

Youth For Change Carnival will feature a mini flea market showcasing creative fashion and art by young designers. The rental for each booth is RM80, and the organizer allow booth sharing for all tenants.

To live up the event, there will be also performances by Malaysian independent musicians and short films made by young Malaysian filmmakers will be screened, including the popular 15Malaysia shorts that have been a hit on the Internet. Popular young actors, musicians, artists and bloggers will also be meeting their fans at the carnival.

This event aims to draw in thousands of youths from around the Klang Valley. At the carnival, those who have yet to register to vote will be able to do so easily at attractively designed booths, while standing a chance to win numerous prizes as well as freebies.

Versatility is one of the things our local boy DJ Goldfish is known for. Starting out at the tender age of 15, Alvin Teoh (that’s his real name) rose quickly to the top and even managed to cop first place for both the 2000 Ecler and the 2002 Vestax Extravaganza Malaysian competitions along the way.

So what is the real deal with this DJ turned producer that’s got the ladies in a frenzy? If you’ve secretly wanted to pick his brain – we’ve got you covered!

BB: How did the name Goldfish come about?
G: Well, the name was given by a friend of mine about maybe about 10 years ago when I was younger at the age of 17. I hated it at first and thought it was rather silly... But I eventually stuck with it, cause all these girls were like "Aww thats cute!!" haha... yea... summin like
that! There’s no real definition for it.

BB: Have you achieved what you set out to achieve back when you first started out?
G: Whooa! I’ve achieved greater than what I expected... Never thought it would go to a stage like this... I guess the greatest achievement for me is to have touched numerous amount of people with emotions with what I do then rather an award or something...

BB: You’ve done a lot of shows, for example: you were the opening act with popular Too Phat for Linkin Park Live in Malaysia 2003, Rapfest! 2003, Salem Rev-Elations parties and Innovation Sessions, and the Rane TTM 56 Demo Showcase– what’s been the ultimate best one so far?
G: Haha, there's too many good ones and it has bad ones as well, but I cant really choose one... every event has it perks, whether is the people I meet, or the performance given, or maybe girls.. haha... yea.. It has been an experience.

BB: Tell us about The GoldLife. How did the idea come up?
G: Well, I did a video to promote the new night I was doing which was (4play) at the start... just to attract more attention for the event... Then, I an idea came about... "What if we introduced everyone in the crew?"... haha.. Then as jokers we are... We made a whole funny joke out of it.. And then I wanted to take it to the next level.. As in giving the consumer a taste of my lifestyle and what I do mostly... And the people I meet of course.. And it continued.. And as it goes.. Well
basically its pure fun and bringin' a different perspective to the audience.. Well, cause im always behind the decks and this would be me on the forefront.

BB: What inspired you to turn to producing instead?
G: I am a creative person and I always look through different outlets of expression.. And my fond for music gave me the opportunity to return the favor.. and i fell in love with it.. I feel that its apart of me to make music.. I’m put here to do so... haha... if I weren’t a producer or a DJ, id probably sing in a rock band or summin like that..

BB: What are your thoughts on the local English music scene?
G: Well, I’ve nothin but love for it, as long as the scene is ever evolving and the growth would be a blessing for all.. I’m gonna be apart of it soon.. so i should keep my freakin' mouth shut..! haha..

BB: What’s the best and worst thing about being a DJ?
G: Like I tell everyone... as anyone perceptions of a DJ, such as "DJs get all the money, girls, drugs, and all that"... yea.. Its all true :) Haha... but don’t get me wrong.. I don’t do drugs.. To each its own right... well like I said.. The best is for me to reach out to people to give them an emotion or feelin from what i do.. And the worst... the morning after.. Haha!

BB: Tell us about your personal style
G: My style.. "So cold, its impossible!" well, I have my own style, cant really put it in words.. its a
"freakinouterspacioushiphopishverbalizationformalizedfreshkid" dammnnn!!!..

BB: What are your favorite places to shop at? Name a couple of stores.
G: hmmm.. thats a good one.. I don’t really shop much here, I wear a lot of my own things.. I have a men's fashion store called 'Select' in Bangsar Baru, but I do spend money at Louis Vuitton, well no particular stores.. But shout out to Boundlezz at Sg Wang.

BB: Are there any style guru’s you look up to or emulate?
G: Well, definitely an amount of people that gives me inspiration.. But the styles crazy.. Its a mixture of everyone.. + me! But Kanye is king..!

BB: What are your fashion do’s & don’ts?
G: "Do everything that you don’t do, and don’t do everything that you already do!"

BB: If you had to pick one item of clothing that could sum up your personality – what would it be and why?
G: My sunglasses.. It just represent me a lot.. Im addicted to it.. Makes me fly! And also it gives the impression of curiosity for anyone that takes a glimpse..

BB: When it comes to fashion – what do you look out for in a girl?
G: fashion can be bought and style is an achievement.. I guess a stylish girl steals me..! What you think? :)

BB: What are words to live by according to DJ Goldfish?
G: "Make it solid gold!”

BB: What is the first thing that pops into your head when you hear the words Biatch Bible?
G: Youre nastttyyyy!!!... And I like it...!

Thanks to the love on last Lelong Lelong Marketplace, we're back with Lelong Lelong Marketplace #2 which will be at the same location - SS15 Asia Cafe on 10th and 11th October 2009! Yes, this time we bring you a 2-days-bazaar!

Inviting all blogshops/traders to join our first outdoor bazaar/marketplace!

Why you should join this marketplace?!
- The location where surrounded by colleges, shop houses, housing area and SS15 is also one of the busiest area in Klang Valley, will definitely create a crowd especially young shoppers/students!
- Even though we are at outdoor, but still, there are tent/covered area so that it won't be that hot! (Don't worry, there are fans around!)
- Banks like CIMB, Maybank, Public Bank; McDonald; Starbucks are all in walking distance!
- Parking bays are available around that area.
- Our booths are very nearby to the cafe's toilet, this will be very easy for your customers to try the garment.
- There will be only 35 booths that day, first come first served basis!
- We will be promoting & hang the banner of this event 1-2weeks in advance so that people around that area know about it!

Beside that, we already rearrange the floor plan for platform area by reducing 5 stalls, and allocate 5 stalls to the walkaway beside internet cafe, so that all vendors are more comfortable with the space and most important another entrance will be opened at booth 18, so that the it would be more easier for the customers to walk around and the crowd will more balance!

Plus, we added one canopy for booth no.1 to no.9, so that when it rains, you guys are still sheltered! :-) Please refer to the new floor plan above.

Our fee is only RM120 for BOTH DAYS providing one table (2ft x 4ft) and two chairs for each booth!
Note: You're require to rent both days, but however, if you want to rent one day, we don't mind you share with other vendors on each day if you can find anyone to share with you.

Clothing from older times are no longer seen as things of the past. They’ve edged their way into our fast paced high tech society and are now as they were before – a fashion staple. Vintage pieces can be seen all over the place these days – from the regular fashionista on the street, to the looks on the runways across the globe and even high-end brands are following suite – coming up with their own vintage line of apparels.

Let’s face it, looking mod chic 24/7 can get a little too monotonous. Thing is, you don’t have to stick to one style all the time! Life’s too short to blend in :)

We’ve got some basic tips this time around to give you the 411 on shopping (and or hunting) for those iconic vintage pieces.

Firstly, get rid of all those misconceptions you’ve got about vintage clothing. Be it if you heard it from your bestest-ever-friend. Vintage finds are not decades out of date nor does wearing vintage clothes make you gross (just because it’s someone else’s old clothes). Your main ally would be an open mind. And armed with that you’d be able to find some awesomely stylish wears!

I know how hard it can be to resist a good bargain. But trust me unless you’re planning on being a hoarder – buying vintage clothes (or clothes in general) that you don’t plan on wearing is just a waste of money. You don’t have to be decked out top to toe in vintage threads – there are loads of blogshops out there which show you how to wear vintage clothing in a very inconspicuous way. Think fitted blazers, high-waisted trousers, dresses (especially floral ones) and even jewelry – it costs far less than something similar brand new. Remember to mix it up with the something new as well – otherwise you’d just look like a flashback from a bad costume party.

The fact that vintage pieces are so much more affordable makes them great for DIY projects. Getting your vintage pieces altered to fit you better or re-sewing them to a more current trend gives you more wear out of your clothes and guarantees you that you will not bump into another person with the same outfit (oh the horror!). Remember to play around, keep a look out for details and don’t just think in the box!

Another interesting fact to note is that true vintage clothing goes way back to the 1950’s or earlier. It’s been said that clothes from the 1960’s to the 70’s are labeled as retro and clothing from the 1980’s onwards is just second hand stuff. That’s something to think about the next time you opt for a vintage find. Of course this interpretation is not some dead set rule that should hinder your vintage hunts! Whatever floats your boat we say – just make sure you rock it!

The golden rule here is to remember to have fun with it. When you’re wearing something you’re comfortable in and happy with - it shows :) Remember to trash those prejudices and keep an eagle eye out for some great finds.

Called the Bizarre Bazaar, here's the story behind the name and the event courtesy of Lah Lah Land's blog:

"Why do we named this as "Bizarre Bazaar", we like to be different from our previous flea market event, as it will be held in a club rather than an open space. Besides having a good retail therapy time, you can grabbed a drink and chilled with friends, and you can be crazy dancing. No one will stop you from that!! No dressed code is required during the event, be yourself and be comfortable and be confident!!"
